β Student Spotlight Awards round-up β
Each term across the college, students are recognised for their efforts on their courses. Here are just a few:
β‘ Chris Baker | Level 2 Electrical Installations student | Alongside his caretaker job, early starts at 5am and caring for two young children, Chris still achieves Distinctions across the board. He has even built a demonstration rig for Open Days.
π Phoebe Walker-Price | Level 1 Automotive student | Since joining Automotive, Phoebe has shown a remarkable transformation in confidence, motivation and attitude. Having found a pathway that matches her interests, she has secured an apprenticeship trial for next year.
βοΈ Estrella Burgess | Level 2 Sport student | Initially home educated with no GCSE English qualifications, Estrella achieved a Grade 5 in her first mock exam. She has embraced feedback, grown in confidence and is motivated to achieve even more in her final exam.
π Callum Pearson | Level 3 Business student | With 99% attendance, Distinctions in every assignment and a positive attitude, Callum is an excellent role model. He supports classmates, leads projects and inspires teamwork through Business Hub and Heli-Raiser activities.
π‘ Adam Linner | Level 3 Electrical Installations Apprentice | Adam, who works at Platform Housing Group, is dedicated to his studies and enjoys applying theory and design principles to the workplace.
π¨βπ Max Briggs | Level 3 Mechanical Engineering student | Max's determination and positive attitude stand out. He uses setbacks as motivation to improve and is always willing to support fellow learners.
βοΈ Austin McBride | Level 2 Automotive student | Austin consistently produces high-quality practical and written work, often exceeding awarding body criteria. He also supports the workshop technician with day-to-day vehicle repairs.
