A Little Taste of Versailles Comes to Lincoln

Award-winning couture designer Hajra Kemari, founder of Petit Versailles, is inviting Lincoln’s Steampunk community to discover her new couture atelier during an exclusive “Steampunk Couture – Édition Privée”, from 27th–30th August, 12pm–4pm.

After 11 years in Newark, Hajra has brought Petit Versailles to Lincoln, transforming the 1st floor of a former bank at 8–9 Guildhall Street into a theatrical space inspired by the grandeur of Versailles.

Trained as a pattern maker in Paris, Hajra has over two decades of experience in couture and bridal wear, including freelance work for Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen, as well as Steampunk, Venetian costume and theatre.

Guests can discover unique couture and Steampunk pieces, fabrics, accessories and one-of-a-kind treasures, while experiencing the dramatic interiors of her new atelier.

“My Steampunk clients have supported me for many years, so I wanted to give them something special. They are not simply customers — they are part of the Petit Versailles family.”
