Firstly assessment paper followed by a few more scenarios before the end of course debrief and farewells.

A great 10 days with some very professional people from all over the UK.

Some very good new Instructors returning to their FRS’s.

Day 9 of the GLTR Heavy Rescue Instructors Course is all about external support, ie what can be called on to assist at a HR incident.

We look at the USAR module 2 equipment inventory and discuss the recent new dimensions 2 roll out/ FRV improvements.

We consider joint working, incident ground management and formalised procedures/ Memorandum of Understanding agreements (MOU).

Winching operations and relocation for Day 3 of the GLTR Heavy Rescue Instructors Course.

A very underused piece of equipment for most FRS’s, but one of the most useful.

Theory input first, then layout basics before running scenarios.

These scenarios will now ramp up through week 2.

A good first few days, well done all.
