Today saw the conclusion on this seasons Touch Rugby Competition at RAF Cranwell

A fantastic day which saw 6 teams take to the field and compete for the inaugural trophy!!

After a highly competitive completion it was High Wycombe Hyenas that rose to victory with a 5 - 1 win against Cranwell in the final!!

An action packed August in store as all 3 teams play their final fixtures before Inter-Services!!

Due to another difficult fixture cancellation all 3 teams have worked really hard to engage with amateur clubs and ensure they can get a fixture played!!

The RAFRL Association would like to send their best wishes to German Exiles Rugby League and to their injured player yesterday.

We are relieved to hear that he is now at home and wish him a speedy recovery 🏉

INJURED PLAYER UPDATE

We would like to provide an update on the player who was taken to hospital following Wednesday night’s fixture.

With his permission, we are delighted to share that he has been given the all-clear from any serious or life-changing injuries.

He is now back home, resting and recovering with the help of some well-earned medication.

On behalf of everyone at the German Exiles Rugby League, alongside his family, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who sent messages, commented, and reached out with their support. Your kindness and well wishes have meant a great deal during what was an understandably worrying time.

We would also like to place on record our sincere thanks to our outstanding medical team from Empire Anesthetics & Skin and Wellness Hub by Hampson & Co. for their professionalism, expertise, and immediate care on the night.

Finally, we would like to thank Featherstone Rovers and their staff for swiftly implementing their medical emergency procedures, ensuring our player received the urgent care he needed as quickly as possible.

We wish him a full and speedy recovery and look forward to welcoming him back to the German Exiles family when the time is right.
