Woodhurst Conservation is a partnership working primarily out of Lincoln and serving the East Midlands region. We specialise in providing practical historic object conservation, restoration and collection care services, and conservation-related training to SME in the heritage sector as well as private individuals. We also promote conservation as a discipline and profession through community and educational outreach activities.

CONSERVATION
Interventive and preventive conservation-restoration of historical objects remotely and on-site, including (but not necessarily limited to): object condition assessment, object stabilisation/repair/restoration, collection condition surveys, environmental monitoring and analysis, disaster planning and risk management, pest management and housekeeping, building surveys.

TRAINING
Training for museum staff, volunteers and other relevant interested parties on subjects including (but not necessarily limited to): basic conservation principles, object handling and housekeeping, disaster response, record-keeping (including environmental monitoring, pest management, object records etc.), condition checking.

OUTREACH
Outreach services (talks, workshops, tours, lectures etc.) to educational establishments, community groups, interest groups etc. including on subjects such as: an introduction to conservation, the conservation of particular materials/types of object (e.g. paper, textile, archaeological material), ‘have a go’ activities for adults and/or children, conservation and volunteers, historical conservation walking tours, and so on.
