It was a true honour to represent The Worshipful Company of Firefighters in the Lady Mayor’s Show this weekend, proudly walking alongside my granddaughter — known to the firefighters as London “Betty.”

Dressed as WWII firefighters, it was an especially poignant tribute to those brave men and women who faced the horrors of the Blitz — standing firm amid the flames, often giving their own lives to save others..

Their courage, sacrifice, and spirit continue to inspire us all.

With a mix of deep hope and lingering fear, we await the release of the Grenfell report tomorrow. My heart goes out to the families, yearning for the answers they so desperately need, yet I'm anxious that these answers may still elude them.

When I was first asked to join Working Groups 2 & 4, I could never have imagined it would take this long—nor that it might be another five years before we see any justice. My deepest hope is that the families finally receive the truth and the closure they deserve.

I could not be more proud of everyone at ZZEUS Training, we won Fire Safety Campaign of the Year at the prestigious Fire Safety Matters awards. This is what the judges said, honestly bursting with pride.

We are delighted to have won Fire Safety Campain of the Year award at the Fire Safety Matters Awards in Coventry last night.

This was a colaboration between ZZEUS Training and Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS Cards) creating a experienced worker pathway for fire alarm engineers.
