Welcome to the Forth Valley Mountaineering Club (FVMC)
Our club is informal and sociable and has around 40 members. We are active in the Scottish and other mountains in all seasons, covering walking, climbing, scrambling, camping, biking and ski-touring. About the Club
We are one of the clubs based in Central Scotland, with members mostly from the Falkirk, Stirling, Linlithgow and West Lothian ar
eas - although a few live further afield in the UK and abroad. Our activities
The club organises Day Walks and Weekend Meets, with members also doing their own trips to the hills in between. The number and diversity of independently arranged trips are perhaps the greatest strength of FVMC. Mountaineering Scotland (MS) membership
As a member of the FVMC, you also become a member of MS, a benefit of which allows you to arrange individual hut accommodation for your own excursions. What are the benefits of joining a mountaineering club?
