Lagan Valley Steels Ltd is proud to announce the installation of a new Automated External Defibrillator (AED) at our premises — an important step in strengthening the safety and wellbeing of our employees, customers, and the wider community.
The addition of this life-saving device reflects our ongoing commitment to providing a safe working environment and ensuring that immediate assistance is available in the event of a cardiac emergency.

Sudden cardiac arrest can occur without warning, and access to an AED within the first few minutes is proven to greatly increase the chance of survival. By making this equipment available on-site, and housed in a secure outdoor cabinet, we aim to ensure that it is accessible whenever it may be needed.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Mark Bailie at MKB Medical for his invaluable expertise, guidance, and support throughout the process. His knowledge was instrumental in helping us select the right equipment and ensuring that our staff understand its importance and use.

A special thank-you also goes to Fraser Mulholland for the professional installation of the outdoor cabinet. His attention to detail and high-quality workmanship have helped ensure the AED is securely and safely positioned for reliable access.

Lagan Valley Steels Ltd are extremely proud to have supplied Glenn Ross, Executive Producer of Ultimate Strongman, throughout the season with 16mm steel round bar — culminating in this weekend’s England’s Strongest Man event for the steel bending discipline. 💪🔥

The bar bending challenge featured steel bars in lengths of 48 inches, 42 inches, 36 inches, and finally the toughest — the 30-inch bar.

Best of luck to all the competitors taking part in this incredible display of strength!

Our heartfelt condolences go to everyone at Hibernia Steel Products and the entire Moore Family circle on the passing of Mr Ray Moore. Another jolly gentleman taken far too soon, may you Rest In Peace Ray.
Thoughts and prayers to his wife Maria and his children Raymond Jr and Gillian at this extremely difficult time.

The death has occurred of Ray Moore, Dublin Road, Drogheda, Co. Meath and The Algarve, Portugal. 12th August 2024. Peacefully at The Mater Private Hospital following a short illness. Beloved husband of Maria and loving Dad to Gillian and Raymond jnr. Ray will be sadly missed and always remembered by his heartbroken wife, son and daughter, son-in-law Aidan, daughter-in-law Andrea, grandchildren Ben, Issey, Charlotte, Hugo, and Ruby, brothers Andrew, Eugene, Noel and Joe, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

He forged his own path, and his legacy will live on forever.

Reposing at the home of his daughter Gillian, Coast Road, Bettystown (A92 A2F4) on Wednesday from 1pm until 6pm.

A celebration of Ray’s life will take place at Dardistown Crematorium, Dublin (K67 HP26) on Thursday at 10am and can be viewed live at https://www.dctrust.ie/location/dardistown/dardistown-chapel-webstreaming.html
