The cost-of-living crisis isn’t inevitable—it’s a ruthless choice made by corporate elites and spineless politicians who sacrifice families for profits. Energy companies are price-gouging, supermarkets are exploiting, and landlords are bleeding tenants dry, all while CEOs laugh their way to the bank. It’s time to shatter this rigged system and demand a fair economy that puts people before profit.

Northern Ireland’s farming future is at a crossroads. Will we continue down a path of unsustainable practices or choose a greener, fairer way?

The Green Party NI advocates for system change, not climate change, moving towards a food system that balances food production with climate action and nature restoration.

By supporting organic farming, incentivising small farmers, and promoting local supply networks like polyculture and permaculture, we can create a resilient food economy that benefits both people and the planet.

This transition also means tackling harmful substances, improving soil health, and reducing reliance on long supply chains.

We can secure a future where farming is environmentally sustainable, financially viable, and supports biodiversity restoration.

Join us in shaping a greener, fairer sustainable food system that supports local farmers and protects the environment. Contact us to explore how you can contribute. 🌍

Dear Stormont Assembly,

I never thought I’d be writing this letter, but after 27 years together, it’s time we faced the truth. We’re just not working out.

Remember when we first got together? The hope, the promises, the dreams of a brighter future for Northern Ireland? I believed in you then. I thought you’d be different from the rest. But here we are, a year into your latest term, and nothing’s changed.

You’ve let me down time and time again. Our children are struggling in underfunded schools, whilst nearly a quarter of them live in poverty. Our NHS is on its knees, with waiting lists longer than the Giant’s Causeway. And don’t get me started on the cost-of-living crisis – you’ve barely lifted a finger to help!

I’ve tried to be patient. I’ve given you chance after chance. But watching you and your mates pat yourselves on the back for “huge advances” whilst our communities suffer – well, that’s the last straw.

It’s not me, it’s you. You’re stuck in your old ways, recycling the same tired ideas and expecting different results. You’ve grown complacent, more interested in divvying up power than actually using it to make people’s lives better.

I deserve better. We all do. It’s time for a fresh start, with someone who truly cares about building a sustainable, equitable future for Northern Ireland. Someone who’ll tackle the climate crisis head-on, transform our public services, and create an economy that works for everyone – not just the privileged few.

So, this is goodbye, Stormont. I’m moving on to greener pastures – quite literally. The Green Party might not have your flashy offices or your fancy ministerial cars, but at least they’ve got integrity and fresh ideas.

Don’t bother calling. I’ll see you at the ballot box in 2027.

Yours no longer,
A Disillusioned Voter

🚨 STORMONT’S SOCIAL CARE SCANDAL 🚨

While Stormont sleeps, our social care system is in freefall:
- 269,000 unpaid carers left to struggle alone
- £400 MILLION black hole in adult social care funding
- 1 in 5 care homes on the brink of closure
- 28.4% surge in children needing care since pre-pandemic
- 1,100,000 hours of homecare support SLASHED
- 1,200 health and social care jobs at risk

Meanwhile, Stormont’s solution? Tighten eligibility criteria, forcing families to pay for care they’ve already funded through taxes.

This isn’t just a crisis. It’s a betrayal of our most vulnerable.

Our elderly are suffering. Our children are at risk. Our carers are burning out.

Stormont has had 27 years to get this right. How many more lives will be ruined before they act?

Join us, donate, or volunteer today to help build a compassionate, opportunity-rich Northern Ireland.
