🚔🚨 Information Appeal 🚨🚔

We are appealing for anyone who may of witnessed a Range Rover being damaged in Morrisons Car Park in Liskeard.
The vehicle had its rear tyre slashed and an attempt made on the front tyre.
This occurred on Thursday 13th of August between 17:15 and 17:32.

Bank Holiday! | Have a safe TRIP

Whether you’re leaving the south west or coming to visit, have a safe and enjoyable summer holiday road trip.

Follow the T.R.I.P. checks every driver needs to perform to keep themselves, their passengers and other road users safe.

TOP UP your fuel or battery, oil and screen wash
REST with planned stops of at least 15 minutes every two hours
INSPECT tyre pressure, tread depth and for cracks or tears before setting out
PREPARE for all weather conditions…it may be very hot, or we may have rain and thunderstorms

We’ll add that SPEED limits are there for your safety, they are not a target. Drive within the limit and to prevailing road, weather and traffic conditions. So, TRIPS: as easy to remember as TRIP.

Another disappointing day on the moors.

I visited Golddiggings near Minions and was disappointed by the mess that was left at this site.

Two drivers were dealt with for driving across the Moor which is in contravention of section 34 of the Road Traffic act 1988, driving other than on a road. Only those who have authorisation are allowed to drive across the moor and these people actually passed a no entry sign to access moorland. In partnership with the Landowners we have placed boulders where people were accessing the moor but this is obviously not a deterrent .

Several people were found to have cooking equipment which is a fire risk and as you can see a large amount of rubbish was left at the site including a broken tent, broken chair, bags of food, soiled underwear and other clothing.

Please respect the countryside and take your rubbish and clothing with you.
