Albert Dock is the most-visited free tourist destination in North West England, home to world-class museums, galleries, restaurants, bars and shops. Located in a spectacular World Heritage waterfront setting, Albert Dock is the largest collection of Grade I Listed buildings in the UK. Attractions include Tate Liverpool, the Beatles Story, Merseyside Maritime Museum and International Slavery Museum. Visitors can enjoy a short break with two hotels to choose from, plus a selection of bars, cafés and restaurants to suit every palate, plus a range of independent gift shops to browse.

180 years of memories ✨

We're bringing our 180th anniversary celebrations to a nostalgic close with a special projection that combines photographs submitted by you with rarely seen archive images.

From working warehouses to the dock’s regeneration and Eurovision celebrations, take a trip from 1846 through to the present day.

The projection will be displayed from 7:30pm to 10pm until Wednesday 21st October on the facade of the Maritime Museum. Head down to the inner quay, relive some special memories and make a night of it with dinner and drinks at one of our bars and restaurants.

🦸 Even superheroes need a food stop

Visiting Comic Con this weekend? Head to the dock for a bite before the exhibition or dinner after a day of costumes, comics and meeting your favourites characters.

Merseyside Maritime Museum opened its doors at Royal Albert Dock, bringing Liverpool’s rich maritime history to life in the very place where so much of it unfolded.⁠
⁠
From the ships that once passed through these waters, to the stories now preserved within the dock’s historic warehouses, the museum has become an important part of keeping Liverpool’s maritime heritage alive.⁠
⁠
Now known as Maritime Museum, Liverpool , the venue is currently closed for a major refurbishment that will create new gallery spaces to explore Liverpool’s maritime history and the ways in which the sea has shaped the city and its people, as well as Liverpool’s influence on the wider world.⁠
⁠
Both Maritime Museum and International Slavery Museum are expected to reopen in 2029.⁠
⁠
