Today at HMS Eaglet we recognise and celebrate International Women’s Day and the incredible contribution women make across the Royal Navy family.

From those currently serving in uniform, to veterans and civilian staff, women continue to shape the strength, professionalism and future of our naval community every day.

Their leadership, resilience and commitment ensure our service remains ready, capable and inclusive. We are proud to stand alongside them and recognise the vital role they play within HMS Eaglet and across the wider Royal Navy.

Thank you for everything you do.

👏 BZ to our newest confirmed ratings! 👏
Congratulations to AB Sutton, AB Pemberton, and AB Burnett-Boothroyd from HMS EAGLET who have successfully completed their Confirmation Course at HMS RALEIGH.

Across a demanding two-week course, all three demonstrated outstanding courage, discipline and commitment — earning their pass-out and taking the next step in their Royal Navy Reserve careers. ⚓

Reflecting on the course, AB Burnett-Boothroyd said:
“It was a tough but enjoyable two weeks—looking forward to moving forward into further training.”

AB Sutton added:
“Confirmation course was an incredible experience and taught me so much, especially when I was given the honour of being Deputy Class Leader. Areas of it were challenging; however, this helped build my resilience and proved to me I could overcome more than I thought I could. I couldn’t have done it without the support and guidance from Chief Hearn and LH McNally, as well as the rest of the staff from HMS Eaglet.”

AB Pemberton concluded:
“This course taught me that strength isn’t just physical, it’s shared. There were tough moments, but we lifted each other through them. I’m proud of what we achieved together at Raleigh.”

BZ (Well Done) to all three — an excellent achievement and a credit to the Royal Navy Reserve. ⚓

📍 HMS EAGLET visit to Bletchley Park

Members of HMS EAGLET recently visited Bletchley Park as part of a Battlefield Tour. This is where British codebreakers cracked the Enigma cipher during the Second World War, work that saved countless lives and helped bring the war to an end sooner.

Battlefield Tours are an important part of Service life. They give us the chance to learn more about our history, remember those who served before us, and reflect on the lessons we can still apply today.
It was inspiring to see first-hand the teamwork, innovation and determination shown by those who worked at Bletchley Park.

Bravo Zulu to LH Greg Anthony for organising a great visit.

Welcome home, Mollie! ⚓

HMS Eaglet is proud to welcome Mollie back after 18 months of mobilisation aboard HMS Spey as a Royal Navy Maritime Reserves Seamanship Specialist. During her deployment she operated across the Indo-Pacific region, taking part in international exercises, Freedom of Navigation operations, and visits to multiple partner nations, all contributing to the UK’s global presence overseas.

We are extremely proud of Mollie’s commitment and professionalism and look forward to welcoming her back to the HMS Eaglet community.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Sellafield Ltd for their outstanding support throughout her mobilisation. Employer support is essential to the success of the Royal Navy Reserves and enables our people to serve with confidence.

Welcome home and well done, Mollie!
