Where Artists and Texts Meet
Liverpool Book Art (LBA) and Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) Library are excited to present ‘Where Artists and Texts Meet’, an exhibition celebrating the boundless creativity found at the intersection of visual art and the written word.
This exhibition showcases artists’ books that explore the rich relationship between art and text, inviting visitors to discover works inspired by literature and poetry, collaborations between artists and writers, imaginative new bindings, and inventive settings of classic and contemporary texts.
For over a decade, LBA has been curating inspiring exhibitions and dynamic selling fairs of artists’ books, forging partnerships with local, national, and international venues and institutions. ‘Where Artists and Texts Meet’ is part of LJMU’s annual Library Fest, a programme of events that brings together lovers of books, reading, and libraries each spring.
The exhibition is free and open Monday – Friday 8.45am-7pm, Saturday and Sunday
