Every day advice services help people resolve problems with debt, housing, benefits, employment, legal issues and more. But rising demand and insecure funding mean too many services are being forced to do more with less. Help us spread the word and advocate for stronger support for advice services across the UK.

A great day in Kirkdale on Monday!

The Raise team joined The Social Brokers’ Monday Food Club, alongside The Bread and Butter Thing, to support local residents with free money and energy advice. From help with energy bills and debt to checking eligibility for benefits and financial support, we were on hand for friendly conversations and practical guidance to help people access the support they need.

Alongside this, the team also lent a hand with food packing and distribution, supporting the fantastic work taking place in our community. 🤝

A routine benefits check uncovered £6,300 in missed entitlement.This is why checking your benefit entitlement matters. A small detail on a benefit statement can make a big difference to a household’s income.💙

The client had previously told Universal Credit that she was receiving Carer’s Allowance but hadn’t been asked to provide any further information. Universal Credit accepted the circumstances around the late notification and agreed to backdate the award.

At Raise, we help people make sure they’re receiving the support they’re entitled to.
