๐ค๐ฅพ THEY DID IT โ BRONZE COMPLETE! ๐ฅพ๐ค
What a moment, and what an achievement! ๐ฅน๐๐ป
After two days and 40km of marching, all 9 cadets from 1908 (Bootle) and 7F (1st City of Liverpool) Squadrons crossed the finish line and officially earned their Bronze Road Marching badges! ๐ฅ๐ฅพ
Thatโs roughly the same distance as crossing the English Channel from Dover to Calais! ๐ฎ
But the distance only tells part of the story. There were tired legs, aching feet and times when they had to dig deep and keep pushing. Throughout it all they showed resilience, commitment, teamwork and determination. ๐ช๐ปโค๏ธ
Then came the moment weโd all been waiting forโฆ
As the team returned to Squadron, the band played them in while proud staff, families and supporters waited to cheer them home. ๐ฅน๐ถ Seeing them march back in together was an incredibly proud moment for everyone at 1908 (Bootle).
They were then presented with their Bronze badges and medals, personalised keyrings to remember their achievement and, of course, some very well-earned cake! ๐
๐๐ฐ
A huge thank you to all the staff who have given their time to train and support the team, and to everyone who came along to make their homecoming so special.
Itโs also been fantastic working alongside our friends at 7F Squadron, with cadets from both Squadrons coming together as one team. ๐ค๐ป
To our Bronze team โ be proud of yourselves. Those badges werenโt simply given to you. You earned them. โค๏ธ
Everyone at 1908 (Bootle) Squadron is incredibly proud of you.
40km. Two days. One team. Bronze achieved. ๐ฅ๐ฅ
Now put those feet up โ youโve earned it! ๐๐๐ป
