We are looking for women who will be between 11 weeks and 34 weeks pregnant that would be willing to help us on the day by having an extra scan of the baby.

As a thank you we will offer pictures of the baby (provided the baby is in a good position) and a £10 voucher.
The scans will not harm you or the baby.

Baby Loss Awareness Week 2026

The Trust’s annual Baby Loss Service of Remembrance will take place on Monday, 12 October 2026 at St George’s Hall.

The service is held during Baby Loss Awareness week which takes place between the 9 - 15 October and aims to raise awareness around baby loss. Bereaved families, healthcare professionals, support organisations and volunteers come together to remember babies who have died during any stage of pregnancy, at or soon after birth and in infancy.

The remembrance service will feature several speakers from Liverpool Women's and bereaved families who have been supported by the Trust. All babies who have been born and sadly died will be remembered at the service.

As in previous years there will be two services:-
Family Service - doors open at 4.30pm with refreshments and crafts. Service will begin at 5.30pm.
Adult only Service - doors open at 7.15pm with refreshments and crafts. Service will begin at 8pm.

Our Honeysuckle Bereavement team would like to invite families to have their baby/babies names included in the service. Please follow the link to register your baby’s names: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=vXA4RxAgV0q6bdtOR889i96AnsdM8RhLjYV_0EhvbUBUQ0MwVUdIUTVXQzA1WVVIT0tZTUIxMjBXMi4u&route=shorturl

Please note names must be registered by Monday 14 September. Unfortunately, names received after this date, there is no guarantee they can be included.

To close the week and unite bereaved families around the world we ask you to join us Wednesday, 15th October in lighting a candle, together we can create a beautiful wave of light remembering all the babies gone too soon

It is with thanks to charity donations from our Honeysuckle families that the service is made possible.

🏆We’re delighted that LWH has been shortlisted in this year’s HSJ Awards in the Excellence in Narrowing the Health Inequalities Gap category.

By working with patients and communities, we’ve redesigned how we communicate, introducing translated information, accessible formats, BSL support and personalised communication options to help more people understand and engage with their care.

This recognition reflects the dedication of our teams and the invaluable contribution of the patients and communities who helped shape the programme.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this fantastic achievement. We have everything crossed for the final 🤞

Together, we're helping make healthcare communication accessible to everyone 💙
