Empty homes = big opportunity 🏡

We’re working to bring properties back to life so they can be used by people currently in temporary accommodation — helping owners, supporting residents, and strengthening communities across Liverpool.

New free ‘NHS‑style’ health checks now available in Liverpool

Residents can now take charge of their health with quick, free checks in local community venues. New self‑service health stations are now live at Lifestyles Alsop and Garston, offering a simple check in under 5 minutes.

✅ Check blood pressure, BMI, heart rate & more
❤️ Get your ‘heart age’ and personalised advice
📍 Be signposted to local support services if needed

These easy‑to‑use stations are designed to help spot early signs of conditions like heart disease, stroke and dementia, especially for people who don’t regularly visit healthcare services.

The stations will rotate across all Lifestyles Centres over the next two years.

Arriva North West are really getting on board with our Youth Trailblazer programme! 🚍

Cade’s work placement will hopefully lead to him getting behind the wheel of a bus – once he gets his licence 👍

The programme is for young people aged 18-21 who are NEET, and we always want to hear from employers who can offer a work placement – and we have funding to support you to this!

Our teams have been getting stuck in to some last minute prep ahead of the playground at Everton Park reopening 🖌️

The fences have been repainted, and new bark has been laid across parts of the playground.

We can't wait to see young people enjoying the space!

There are plenty of ways to get to the ground. It's just a short walk from the city centre or there are lots of public transport options available.

As the country warms up for the World Cup, we're giving drink driving the red card ⚽

If you're planning to head to the pub or a mates house for a few during a match, leave the car behind.

Nationally, 1 in 6 fatalities on the road were found to have been caused by drink driving.
