Teacher. A representation of the "Wood Pe**er" God Father, self acclaimed- you'd find everywhere. These types probably made a hit or entry into the streets early enough, or a certain field and they become entitled. They never improve themselves to dynamically adapt. They just feel entitled.
They will prey on whoever is weak to keep getting what they want, further enriching their laziness but living large on the sweat of others.
Oboz has kids. Efe has kids. But Teacher went for the child of Efe to send a warning to Oboz because he knew Efe was weak and could not control loyalty in reaction from his wife. He knew his penchant to keep pleasing her even when he is not at fault would give him entry into the empire of Oboz.
Efe never understood power. He felt compromise could fix everything without structural negotiations. His first response to Oboz was to get him to give Teacher everything he had demanded even when Oboz didn't owe him s**t.
For coming for one of his own, Oboz sent him a message, which unfortunately was to take Teacher out but his delay in getting into the car but rather sending his grand kids became a collateral damage that threw Teacher into eternal spree of vengeance.
The streets respect an eye for an eye. The streets only negotiate when the powers are equal and the fight will consume everyone. The streets does not negotiate when the bigger animal can swallow the smaller one. Oboz had everything to match Teacher, Efe used his weakness to compromise him.
He was the proverbial Cousin of Jesus in a terrain operated only by Lucifer's demons. He was dirty and trying to appear clean. He was morally stained but trying to preach purity. He was a danger to the rules of the streets.
When Efe saved Teacher's Father, he knew he was the weak link to take out the empire of Oboz because via Efe, Oboz developed a weakness of love and trust. Complicated by his loneliness when Efe left, he was willing to do anything to reconnect with his brother. This made Efe vulnerable. Oboz was so loyal and dedicated to Efe that he gave his personal security to Efe who didn't really need it and almost got killed in Traffic by Teacher. This second attempt was what led to Oboz taking Teacher's Father. If Oboz had finished Teacher's Father after Teacher murdered Efe's inlaw, the balance of power would have reduced to the trio of individuals. The upper hand would have been Oboz and Efe because Oboz was Alpha and Streets, Efe was educated and Techie.
What happened? Weakness. Efe was weak so he couldn't confide in Oboz on how Teacher had manipulated him. He also allowed his emotions get him so vulnerable to his mistress.
In hindsight, he could have uses his Mistress to collapse Teacher because she was rugged. Pretty but rugged. She knew the rules. The mistress had fallen in love with him, hence, if he had planned witn Oboz, they would have gained entry into the operations of Teacher and his organization.
Still, Efe betrayed his Mistress for a woman who didn't care about him but only herself and children. He betrayed the only woman who saw him for who he was and switched sides because of emotions and was ready to protect him. Efe's wife had chosen her path- buying a house and sleeping with her Doctor. He would have left her to her karma and disappeared with the Mistress then come back for his kids later but he was weak. He wanted to still submit to a woman that never cared about him but only the things that worked about him.
Efe. Oboz. Mistress. These combination would have ended Teacher, but one person's weakness started a chain reaction that would exterminate everyone.
How did I know this? Teacher favked with the wrong crew, his body was hung across a high rise building, begging the sun to stop eating from his flesh. He was crucified for his treachery in not allowing the young ones breathe.
Never be like Teacher even if you're a god-Father. Do not take everything. Also know when to quit the stage. Royalty is respect based on past work. It is never respect based on absence of work and perpetual installation of few.
The young you want to grow today will protect tomorrow when your bones are tired.
The Streets operate by all the power codes.
