A wonderful Unity event held by Liverpool City Region, Together Alliance today. PCS North West Young members were in attendance and did a fantastic job stewarding the whole event. Kim Johnson. MP opened the event and is pictured below with Patrick, Molly and Charlotte. They represented PCS brilliantly l and did our union proud. PCS was the only union with a stall and in attendance. The sun was shining and a fantastic day was had by all.

Capita is under increasing pressure as PCS prepares to hand in a petition on Monday (24) demanding an end to the civil service pension crisis and for the service to be brought in-house. Read the story in the comments

Save the Date.Two big events are coming up.One is the September NHS Integrated Care Board meeting that will be publishing its bus iness case for it"s appalling plans for Liverpool Women's Hospital. ( and the hortific cuts it has already imposed on hospitals in Cheshire and Merseydiide.
The other is Labour Party Conference which is meeting in Liverpool.We will demand they fund staff and equip the Maternity Service, stop using fake doctors, and restore and repair the NHS.
Join us in this protest, even if you have never done anything like it before.You will be most welcome.

A very moving tribute to Professor Jason Arday tonight in Liverpool led by Chantelle Lunt, UCU Black members rep. Following a song all gathered were encouraged to speak to each other and share the love and community. A beautiful tribute which ended with laying flowers at JMU, were he studied for his PHD.
