Liverpool Marxist Society is a group of revolutionary students and workers on Merseyside. We hold weekly meetings to discuss Marxist ideas and their relevance to today, as well as how we can fight for a socialist alternative to capitalism. We are part of the Marxist Student Federation (www.marxiststudent.com), a network of around 30 Marxist Societies in universities, schools and colleges across Br

itain, fighting for socialist policies in the student movement and linking up with workers in struggle. On the basis of educating a wider and wider layer of students, the Federation is launching campaigns and coordinating interventions in the NUS with the aim of raising Marxist ideas amongst students in a concrete fashion, and ultimately to win the NUS to a revolutionary Marxist program. The Palestinian people are in the front line of the international class war, and we, the revolutionary communists, stand in full support of their demands for a homeland, for a place where they can live in peace, where they have full citizenship and full democratic rights, together with decent jobs and housing, decent education for their children, decent healthcare for their sick and elderly. That can only be achieved in a worldwide struggle for the revolutionary transformation of society, in which capitalist rule is brought to an end, and where the workers of all countries will have power in their hands.
