📣IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Liverpool Night Market

Based on the weather warning we have been working really hard to ensure an offer can still go ahead, rather than cancelling the market. Unfortunately that has meant several changes have had to be made to the offer. Outside will now be based on the corner of the plateau nearest lime street station only.

There will now also be an inside offer as well which is free entry located at the North end of the Hall on William Brown Street. The market will still operate between 2:30pm and 8:30pm as planned. Please come and join us and support the local traders.

Tickets can still be purchased for the Night on The Tiles here: https://liverpoolcityhalls.co.uk/events/event/minton-tiles-night-on-the-tiles/ and tickets will also be available to purchase this evening.

Now the Minton Tiles Reveal is drawing to a close, for those interested in exploring the history of the tiles, there is no better place than Stoke-on-Trent!

Liverpool and Stoke‑on‑Trent share a long industrial and cultural connection shaped by the Trent & Mersey Canal. Wedgwood and Liverpool merchant Thomas Bentley helped link the Potteries to the port, enabling ceramics to reach global markets.

5 Things to Do in Stoke-on-Trent After the Minton Tiles Reveal

1. World of Wedgwood

A flagship ceramics destination combining factory heritage, creative studios and the Wedgwood Tea Room. Home to the UNESCO‑recognised V&A Wedgwood Collection, telling over 260 years of design and industry, including links to Minton’s Victorian tilework.

2. Stoke Minster

One of Stoke’s oldest landmarks, with origins over a thousand years. The Georgian church reflects the civic and industrial story of the Potteries, with memorials to major ceramic families and interiors decorated with traditional Minton tiles.

3. Middleport Pottery

A perfectly preserved Victorian canal‑side pottery and home of Burleigh. Visitors can see historic production techniques, bottle ovens, heritage trails, Clay College and independent makers — plus a stop at the Packing Café for a Staffordshire Oatcake.

4. Spitfire Gallery, PMAG

The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery celebrates Stoke’s role in aviation history through the Spitfire designed by Reginald Mitchell. A short walk leads to Hanley’s Cultural Quarter with theatres, shops and independent eateries.

5. Gladstone Pottery Museum
The UK’s only complete preserved Victorian pottery factory. Explore bottle ovens, workshops and live demonstrations, plus the famous tile gallery showing designs from Gothic Revival to Art Deco. Also known as the filming location for The Great Pottery Throw Down.
