LT. COL. THILEEPAN REMEMBRANCE – DAY 11 | 25.09.2026
The 11th day of the “12 Days • 12 Themes • 12 Locations” symbolic hunger strike and political awareness campaign, organised by the Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam (TGTE), was held at Derby Square, Liverpool.
Day 11 Theme:
“The Tamil People’s Sovereignty, Right to Self-Determination and Reparative Justice Against Genocide”
The event highlighted the historical background of the Tamil people’s long-standing political struggle for sovereignty, self-determination and justice. Thileepan’s Five Demands were also presented to raise public awareness.
During the event, people from Britain and various other countries stopped to learn about the painful history of the Tamil people and their long-standing struggle for justice and political rights. Many expressed their support and solidarity, and said they would seek to bring these issues to the attention of their elected representatives in whatever way they could.
These conversations provided an opportunity to directly share the political history and calls for justice of the Tamil people with members of Liverpool’s diverse community.

தியாக தீபம் திலீபன் நினைவேந்தல் – 11ஆம் நாள் | 25.09.2026
தியாக தீபம் லெப். கேணல் திலீபன் அவர்களின் 39ஆம் ஆண்டு நினைவேந்தலை முன்னிட்டு, நாடு கடந்த தமிழீழ அரசாங்கத்தின் ஏற்பாட்டில் முன்னெடுக்கப்படும் “12 நாட்கள் • 12 கருப்பொருள்கள் • 12 இடங்கள்” என்ற அடையாள உணவு தவிர்ப்புப் போராட்டம் மற்றும் அரசியல் விழிப்புணர்வு செயற்திட்டத்தின் 11ஆம் நாள் நிகழ்வு Liverpool Derby Square பகுதியில் நடைபெற்றது.
11ஆம் நாள் கருப்பொருள்:
“தமிழ் மக்களின் இறைமை, சுயநிர்ணய உரிமை மற்றும் இனவழிப்புக்கு எதிரான பரிகார நீதி”
தமிழ் மக்களின் இறைமை, சுயநிர்ணய உரிமை மற்றும் நீதிக்கான நீண்டகால அரசியல் போராட்டத்தின் வரலாற்றுப் பின்னணி பொதுமக்களுக்கு எடுத்துரைக்கப்பட்டது. தியாக தீபம் திலீபன் அவர்களின் ஐந்து கோரிக்கைகளும் மக்களின் கவனத்திற்கு கொண்டு செல்லப்பட்டன.
இந்நிகழ்வின்போது பிரித்தானியாவைச் சேர்ந்தவர்களுடன், பல்வேறு நாடுகளைச் சேர்ந்த மக்களும் ஆர்வத்துடன் கலந்து கொண்டு தமிழ் மக்களின் வலிநிறைந்த வரலாறு, நீதி மற்றும் அரசியல் உரிமைகளுக்கான நீண்டகாலப் போராட்டங்கள் குறித்து கேட்டறிந்தனர். பலர் தமது ஆதரவையும் ஒருமைப்பாட்டையும் வெளிப்படுத்தியதுடன், இவ்விடயங்களை தங்களது மக்கள் பிரதிநிதிகளின் கவனத்திற்குக் கொண்டு செல்லத் தங்களால் இயன்ற வகையில் நடவடிக்கை மேற்கொள்வதாகவும் தெரிவித்தனர்.
இத்தகைய உரையாடல்கள், தமிழ் மக்களின் அரசியல் வரலாறு மற்றும் நீதிக்கான கோரிக்கைகளை பிரித்தானியாவின் பல்லின சமூகத்தினரிடம் நேரடியாக எடுத்துச் செல்லும் முக்கிய வாய்ப்பாக அமைந்தன.
