Are you aged 50 to 74 years? Have you received a bowel screening test in the post?

The test can find bowel cancer early, even if you do not have any symptoms.

Completing your bowel screening test is easy and can be done in the privacy of your own home.

• Before you begin, attach the label from your letter to the tube.
• Follow the instructions to collect your sample.
• Place the completed test in the pre-paid envelope and put it in a post box.

You will receive your results in 2 weeks.

9 out of 10 people survive bowel cancer if it’s found and treated early.

If sleep has been a struggle for a while, summer probably isn't helping. Lighter evenings and a broken routine tend to add to a problem that's already there.

Sleepio is a clinically proven, NICE-recommended treatment for insomnia. Rather than easing things for one night, it works on the habits and worries that keep poor sleep going. Improvement is gradual and you're supported throughout.

Free through the NHS, no referral or wait:

Breast screening is a test for breast cancers that are too small to see or feel. In Scotland, only women between the ages of 50 and 70 are offered breast screening every 3 years. Find out how the test is done and what your test results mean.

Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is a common virus that usually causes cold-like symptoms. While most people recover at home, RSV can sometimes lead to serious lung infections such as bronchiolitis and pneumonia.

Those most at risk include:
Adults aged 75+
People with weakened immune systems
People with chronic lung disease or congenital heart disease
Babies under 2 years old
Premature babies

If you're aged 75 or over, the RSV vaccine is recommended. It helps your body build protection against the virus and significantly reduces the risk of being admitted to hospital with RSV—by around 81%for people aged 75–79.

People turning 75 years old on and between 1 August 2026 and 31 July 2027 will receive a letter with information about their appointment.
