Great turnout for yesterday’s SAVE LLANIDLOES HOSPITAL RALLY, and I was proud to be one of the speakers. If you’ve got 5 minutes, you can watch it here.

Please be aware consultation has now started. Please, please find the time to complete it, it’s so important! But here’s the warning…

I believe the PTHB consultation is far from neutral. Every question is wrapped in one‑sided info that makes their plan sound great and our current services sound awful, which is absolute tosh. By the time you tick a box, the form has already pushed you toward saying “yes”. That’s not real consultation. It’s a sales pitch dressed up as a survey!

They give you none of the positives about what already works, and none of the negatives about their proposals. So how can anyone make a real decision when they’re not given the full facts?

Cllr Glyn Preston and I stand together with you on this and we will not stand quietly and let our hospital be chipped away and hollowed out!

Cllr Glyn Preston speaking last night in Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant regarding the potential closure of their GP practice. Still more closures? This cannot be go on!!

09/09/2026

Llanidloes deserves better than this. Under every option now being put forward by Powys Teaching Health Board, Llanidloes would lose all of its community hospital beds.

Our community has already shown just how strongly we feel about protecting our hospital and local healthcare.

We won’t stand by and watch these services be stripped away. We’re ramping up our campaign and we need Llanidloes to make its voice heard.

Well said Cllr Glyn Preston!
