🌸🌿 Llandudno in Bloom Awards 2026 🌿🌸

Llandudno Town Council was delighted to host the Llandudno in Bloom Awards Ceremony at the Town Hall on 28th September 2026, celebrating the fantastic efforts of residents, businesses and organisations across the town who help make our town such a beautiful place to live, work and visit.

This year, saw a variety of entries across a range of categories, including guesthouses, hotels, pubs, schools, churches and private gardens showcasing their amazing efforts. 🌿🌻

🏆 And the winners are…! 🏆
Entrants were presented with their certificates, cups and category shields, with the overall winners for 2026 revealed during the ceremony.

Biodiversity & Sustainability Award:
Jo Green, Bryn Dedwydd, Bryn Gwynt lane, Penrhynside

Best Garden in the Mayor’s Ward of Mostyn:
Tynedale Hotel

And congratulations to Ian and Jennie Holland, Mulcan, Bryn Gwynt Lane, Penrhynside, who not only took the title of Overall Best Garden, but were also crowned the Overall Winner of Llandudno in Bloom 2026!

The Mayor of Llandudno, Cllr Mandy Hawkins, commented:

“I want to take a moment to thank everyone who entered Llandudno in Bloom this year. The time, care and dedication that goes into creating and maintaining these beautiful spaces is truly appreciated.

It is our residents, businesses, schools, community groups, and volunteers who take part and help keep pride in Llandudno alive. 🌸👨‍🌾🏡🌹👩‍🌾🌻🐝

The standard of entries was incredible, and I am very glad I wasn't faced with the difficult job of judging them!

It was a pleasure to welcome everyone to the awards evening and to help present the awards, congratulating both the winners and all those who took part.

One thing that really stood out to me was hearing how much enjoyment people get from gardening. Whether it's a hanging basket, a few pots on a patio, a community space or a full garden, it brings a real sense of pride and can do wonders for your wellbeing.

So, would you like to get involved?
No matter how big or small your space, we'd love to welcome you to enter next year's competition. I know I can't wait to see what you'll create"

A huge thank you also goes to our generous Awards Sponsors, whose support provides the wonderful trophies, and to our fantastic team of volunteer competition judges who give up their time to visit and assess all the entries.

Congratulations once again to all of our 2026 entrants and winners — your hard work, creativity and passion for our town really do make a difference. 🌷👏

It was a pleasure for the Mayor of Llandudno, Cllr Mandy Hawkins, and Llandudno Town Council’s Civic Chairman, Cllr Greg Robbins, to welcome Squadron Leader Andrew Whitehead-Hughes, Warrant Officer Sharon Smart and Wing Commander Barry Robinson from RAF Valley to Llandudno yesterday.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity to discuss the role and opportunities for the Royal Air Force in our region, as well as explore how we can strengthen and build upon the existing links between Llandudno and RAF Valley.

We look forward to developing these relationships further and working together to support opportunities for our local community and the wider region.
