Domestic abuse does not only cause physical harm.

It can also deeply affect mental health.

In the UK 81% of survivors said the abuse they experienced negatively impacted their mental health. Many described anxiety depression loss of confidence and feeling disconnected from themselves.

Abuse can erode identity and self worth over time. It can make someone feel small uncertain and unheard.
