I have just been to see Peregrine Circus - they are up on the rugby field in Llangollen. These incredibly talented folk are friends of the Faery Festival - you may have seen them out and about Saturday handing out flyers. They are in Llangollen because I suggested it (gulp!), so please go along and see their heart-warming show - it’s thoroughly entertaining and at times very moving. It’s perfect for kids and adults alike and they will be there on the rugby field I think until Sunday (do check). Their show starts at 5.30 but they have a matinee on Saturday and Sunday. It’s marvellous - please share and get the news out there!

The chap responsible for making our bands and singers sound so great at The Legendary Faery Festival is Olli Bentley. His wife, Rachel is involved with this rather splendid project and I would love it if you could come along to it, or spread the word. Rachel wrote this to me:

‘’The concert is in Llangollen town hall and performed by Wrexham Concert Band.
We’re playing all the music by JohnWilliams (so Harry Potter, witches of east wick, hook, Star Wars etc) in fancy dress costumes with a full light show and special effects.’’

That sounds great and I’m going!

A beautiful message from Gerrie Bayley who ran a stall selling crocheted items made by a group of seven women in the Ukraine. They work whenever they can to create their beautiful wares and often work by candle light in cellars when the drones are attacking. A sobering thought.
This is what Gerrie wrote:
‘’Dear Tink, I cannot thank you enough for allowing us to come your amazing festival. Not only did we have the best time and met some lovely people, but we made enough money to help Milana with her wheelchair in Ukraine. There will also be enough to help her mum get her well fixed. So again, a huge thank you and hopefully see you next year. ###x’’
This is Milana having to use a buggy to get by. Thanks to you buying these precious items, this little girl’s life will be made better every day. So thank you for coming along to the Faery Festival and spreading the love…

We have just received a lovely email praising our fantastic storyteller, Wyn :-

Hi, this was our first time attending with my 66 year old mum and 7 and 4 year old daughters. We had so much fun. I cannot put into words how brilliant it was. We danced, ate, shopped, crafted, rode dragons, went to the circus and the fair, and were entertained all day long as well as admiring all of the costumes. I need to point out though that the girls had one big highlight of the day, they have not stopped talking about Wyn the Storyteller. We listened to him a few times and he made the girls cackle with laughter each time, he was brilliant. At one point he sang 'Let's go fly a kite' to my youngest and it's made her whole trip, she's telling anyone who'll listen. We will be back next year and hope to see him there again! Thanks
