If anyone can help Bill Fleming please:

Would anyone have a copy of the 25" map of the Pentwyn area? ( Sheet 14) I've drawn a blank at the National Library of Scotland and the National Archives. It's to help with field names at Pentwyn. If anyone can help that would be great. And if anyone knows field names there, so much the better.

Good morning. This was from a couple of years ago. I think it was a Gos Hawk, sat on the gate to the field next door to the Great House. You see them occasionally, but this was the only time I have seen one sitting very still.

I thought I would share this memory from Debbie Jones. She takes a lot of the photographs on this page, not all, but certainly the best ones. She’s also a bit of a poet and I thought this would be nice to share. It’s from a couple of years ago. 😊

Today is the first day of meteorological autumn, though apparently, September 22nd is the autumnal equinox and considered to be the real start to autumn. Anyway to celebrate the arrival of those beautiful colours of nature, here’s a photo I took & poem I wrote a couple of years ago.

Closer To Autumn

Soft rainfall strokes hillsides
in plush velveteen,
Gone golden hay crop,
set sail on the breeze,
Catkins entrance; rhythmic
dance, to and fro,
Entwined within Hazel,
plump blackberries grow,
Buzzards glide thermals
on warm interweaves,
Empty nests nestle
twixt boughs, shedding leaves,
Seeds drift like dust
lost in flurries of snow,
Silken webs caught
in the afternoon glow,
Pale iridescence
casts candlelit beams,
Hidden neath hedgerows
of tangerine dreams.

Yesterday, (Sunday) was another busy day in Llangunllo. There was an Informal Ministry Service based around the subject of Friendship. It was very well attended and there was music, readings and stories. Here is Pam taking the service at St Cynllo’s Church. More photos and a full report will appear later both on the Llangunllo website and the Radnor magazine.
