Llanharan Community Council has today posted the tender for a 2-Stage, Design and Build contract for the Ewenni Multi-User bridge and associated paths to be built over the River Ewenni in Brynna Woods.

Those companies that expressed a formal interest in the previously issued Public Interest Notice are eligible to submit a tender and a large number of high quality vendors have expressed a formal interest.

The deadline for submissions is 20th November 2026. The Council's Project Managers will then assess the tenders and make recommendations to the Council.

It is anticipated that an award will be made by the council in December 2026. The project will be funded using the Community Council's CIL funds (A levy/tax imposed on new housing developments in our area).

The project will deliver a wheelchair friendly, multi-user route for all from Bryncae Community Centre carpark, through the woods to 'The Green' (The Eco Houses).

Brynna Woods is owned and operated by The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales who are key stakeholders in the project.

The project will be designed to be sympathetic to the environment of the nature reserve in terms of its design and construction.

Have your say on Childcare Provision in Wales

The Welsh Government Childcare, Play & Early Years Division and local authorities are seeking feedback from families with children aged 0-17 to better understand childcare needs across Wales.

If you use childcare services, or have experience of accessing childcare support, your views can help inform future Welsh Government policies and support local authorities in planning childcare provision. The survey covers both registered childcare services (e.g. Care Inspectorate Wales) and unregistered services (e.g. nannies, au pairs and some activities and sports clubs).

Findings from the survey will be included in reports published by Welsh Government and local authorities. However, local authorities cannot guarantee that all requests for childcare provision can be met.

When completing the survey, please do not include any personal information such as names or details that could identify a child.

Complete the survey: https://ymateb.gov.wales/s/PN47J5/
