On August 13th, wildfire broke out at Lofftwen.
The response from the local community was extraordinary. People came to help control the fire, brought equipment, offered practical support and helped protect Lofftwen from what could have been much greater damage.
We’ve managed to thank some of those people in person, but there are many others we haven’t been able to reach — and some whose names we may never even know.
We also want to thank the fire and emergency services across Wales, including the many volunteer firefighters who give their time to protect their communities. It was an exceptionally difficult day, with wildfires breaking out across the country and crews responding under enormous pressure. We are deeply grateful to everyone who worked to protect people, homes and landscapes that day.
So we made this short film as a thank you to all of you.
