🇬🇷 This week, The Princess Royal has been in Greece, commemorating the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Crete.

Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Sir Tim Laurence attended services to commemorate Commonwealth, Allied and Greek personnel who gave their lives in defensive action during the Battle. Her Royal Highness and Sir Tim met relatives of those who fought in the 1941 battle, watched fly pasts from the Red Arrows and watched a traditional Cretan flag parade in commemoration of the Battle.

The Princess also visited Athens where she met the President of the Hellenic Republic and attended events in her role as President of the Mission to Seafarers.

🇬🇷 ABY Princess Anna, accompanied by Sir Tim Lawrence, visited Greece.

Her Royal Highness commemorated the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Crete. In Crete, ABY Princess Anna attended memorial ceremonies for the soldiers of the Commonwealth, Allied Forces and Greece who lost their lives during the Battle. ABY and Sir Tim met with descendants of fighters in the battle of 1941, watched Red Arrows air demonstrations, and the parade of flag-bearers and traditional clubs of Crete, commemorating the anniversary.

ABY also visited Athens, where it made a series of contacts and met with SA Mr. Konstantino Tasoula, President of the Republic.

Over the last few days in Buckingham Palace, The Duke of Edinburgh has been joined by volunteers, staff, organisations running DofE schemes and special guests who've shared their inspiring stories. This year is even more special as DofE is celebrating its 70th anniversary 🎉

🌱 Growing friendship and connection…

Set against Strangford Lough, Ards Allotments was founded by owner Maurice after he was inspired by watching His Majesty, then Prince of Wales, visit an allotment on the news.

🥕 Today, The King visited Maurice and the other volunteers, gardeners and growers who use the space not only to grow fresh produce, but also to forge connections, boost wellbeing and share skills.

Unveiling The RHS and The King’s Foundation Curious Garden at ! 🌸

At the RHS Chelsea Flower Show this evening, The King and Queen joined the team who brought the garden to life, including Sir David Beckham, Frances Tophill and Alan Titchmarsh. 🪴

The Curious Garden celebrates the vital impact plants make to people, places and planet, encouraging everyone to get curious about nature and gardening. After the show, the garden will be transferred to a college to help inspire young people to get into horticulture 🌱
