So proud to see founders like Beth of Goldie locks supported by our Launch It Kent hub, powering through the odds & building the business of their dreams. Onwards & upwards, as they say and we’ll be with you every step of the way! 💛🚀✨

Reflection time ✨

How did I get to where I am now?
I studied hair & beauty at school 🏫
After leaving travelled & children and trained in a few other things

But felt stuck in my job in retail, found myself in a loop hole of unhappiness and not really sure on what to do, after some reflection time (Goldie locks ) was created

That’s where is leads me to where I am today, being my own boss, starting small from home 🏠 which may I add was hard but also so rewarding

Taking jumps & continuing to never give up

So to anyone ever doubting there ideas no matter how small they may be! Always go with your heart and follow it as you never no where is may lead you too… 🫶🏻

A home & warm feeling studio
Where relaxing & comfortable is key 🔑

With lovely clients & to friends 💫
Giving people the safe space of a well needed rest & treat

I wanted to create something that was a luxury for others, the time away to treat yourself/ others

I’m excited for future opportunities & projects goals I’ve set for myself exciting to see where else this journey leads me

I take pride in the little business I built from the comfort of my home to now having my studio at the lovely
Launch It Trust in sheerness masters house 📍

With the help of other small business to mentoring to help push my business to the next level

Onwards & upwards 🫶🏻

We’re proud to be recognised as a beneficiary of the The Worshipful Company of Entrepreneurs Trust.💛
Their generous funding will help Launch It provide a young entrepreneur at our Angel Yard hub in Edmonton with affordable workspace, expert mentoring, training and the expert support needed to build a sustainable business.
Partnerships like this do more than fund a programme; they create life-changing opportunities. At a time when more than one million young people are not in education, employment or training (NEET), investing in accessible pathways into entrepreneurship has never been more important.
A huge thank you to the Worshipful Company of Entrepreneurs Trust for believing in the potential of young founders.
🌐 If you’re an organisation, business or individual looking to make a lasting difference, we’d love to work with you to help more young people build brighter futures through enterprise. Go to launchit.org.uk/partnerships or email [email protected] now.✨

What a lovely feature! This is why we do what we do— the belief in young people’s potential, their creativity & resilience in breaking through barriers! 🙌🏽🚀

Thank you Stoke Nub News for spotlighting Ellie’s journey with her business Sugar Rush Social & Launch It’s work with supporting young people build successful futures through enterprise.💯

A snippet of the article below:

Ellie explained that opening a business at 19 is "exciting, but obviously it's a bit nerve wracking as well".

She added: "I've never really done anything like it before, but there are other people my age that are doing a similar thing in the same market.

"It's nice to have other people my age so we can all chat to each other and make sure we're all doing okay. It's nice to have that friendship."

Earlier this week, another teenager - 18-year-old Riley - opened True Grain DIY and Hardware also in Longton Market.

Ellie has been supported by the organisation, Launch It, which helped with planning the business, budgeting and grant applications.

The young entrepreneur said: "They're amazing, I couldn't thank them enough."

She added: "I had an idea, and I wanted to bring it to life and they've helped every single step of the way."

Ellie Meredith, 19, launches Sugar Rush Social at Longton Market, Stoke-on-Trent, offering American-style milkshakes.
