Ladies and Gentlemen,
Further to my post back on 29 March, the London Regiment Association has now been allocated 20 places for this year's Royal British Legion Dispersal Parade at the Cenotaph, on Sunday 8 November 2026
So far, I believe I am expecting 10 (including me) to march.
Notwithstanding that serving personnel are officially disallowed, we did successfully register several individuals who qualified as first-generation family members of those who served in His Majesty’s Armed Forces and have died. Hopefully, this provides an 'in' for a number of you who might otherwise be ineligible.
Please confirm, as soon as you can, your intentions for 2026; registration closes on 30 September. This should constitute as firm a commitment as possible, given that we don’t want to register individuals who subsequently fall out. It would be great to improve on the number of 15 who marched last year.
We will round off the day again with lunch, probably in the Cavalry and Guards Club again. Private guests are extremely welcome.
You all know the required standard of dress; if unsure, please see https://www.londonregimentassociation.co.uk/galleries.
Please do alert anyone who you feel would be willing and able to commit in the appropriate spirit.
Thanks.
Yours aye,
Ed
