In September, all three regions come together for an opportunity to start the school year on the front foot, creating a space for learning
Over 2 days, we celebrate the successes, reflect on the learnings and plan the steps we want to take moving forward that will continue to push FBB as an organisation that the support every young person in the country deserves to thrive in education.
With more schools engaged in our core programme, more young people reached & more adult training than ever before, we’ll be impacting education at multiple levels.
Our team have such a wide range of experiences both in work & life that has led them to FBB, and most importantly, continues to inspire them to impact the lives of the most vulnerable young people in the country. Our staff residential is an important space to explore those reasons as we begin a new school year.
Over 75 staff, three regions and more practitioners than ever, we continue to push for the support every young person in the country to have a trusted adult.
Practitioners need to know the young people, have time to share what they are noticing and be clear about who follows up when something changes.
The story of a young person can be understood by the relationships and sense of belonging that is felt in key moments of their journey.
As the people who want to play the role of trusted adults, it’s important we recognise where our young people are at, the support they need in the moment & ensuring relevant agencies are connected and engaged.
Parents, pastoral teams, Heads of Year, sports coaches & teachers provide a network of adults in a young person’s life that are playing a crucial role in their sense of belonging.
Football is an important part of our curriculum, but we have to ensure that it is designed to be accessible to everyone on the FBB programme.
Our Impact & curriculum team has worked hard to restructure FBB football sessions to allow FBB girls to engage in more sport & movement.
