Dear Residents,
I am pleased to provide an update on the ongoing roadworks around the McDonald’s Roundabout in Beam Ward.
Following our previous reports regarding potholes and the condition of the roads, I am pleased to confirm that the potholes have now been repaired and further road improvement works are currently being carried out.
We are also continuing to follow up on the proposed new road and traffic crossing in Beam Park. This remains a high priority, and we are pressing for the works to be completed as soon as possible.
We have received confirmation from the Council that they are actively chasing the developers for progress and are continuing to follow up to ensure the necessary works move forward without unnecessary delay.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide further updates as soon as more information becomes available.
Kind regards,
Beam ward councillors

Dear Resident,

RE: Ballards Road & New Road Carriageway Resurfacing.
On behalf of London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, we will be carrying out essential carriageway resurfacing works in Ballards Road & New Road.

The carriageway resurfacing works will involve replacing the existing road surface. We have scheduled the work to be carried out from Tuesday 29th September and it is anticipated that the work will take 4 nights to complete. No work will take place over the weekend.
To undertake the works in a safe manner, a road closure will be enforced to prohibit traffic travelling between New Road & Ballards Road.

Night 1 – Ballards Road, Junction of New Road to Outside No. 3 Ballards Road.

Night 2 – Outside No.3 Ballards Road to Junction of New Road.

Night 3 – Outside 99a New Road to O/S Shell Garage.

Night 4 – Junction of Link Way to Opposite No.99a New Road.

We would ask residents to remove all vehicles from the road between the hours of 20:00 – 05:00 on each day. If your car is in the way and you are unable to move it, we will be able to arrange a vehicle lifter to move your car. We assure you that this will be done by a fully qualified and insured vehicle lifting contractor and your car will be replaced at the end of the work.

We ask for your understanding and support through the work, and request that you remain considerate and respectful of our colleagues whilst they undertake their duties.
Should you have any concerns or require any further communication please call 020 7739 2976 or email [email protected]. You can also find our latest updates on Facebook
