On the occassion of EID-ul-Fitr, this Sunday we contributed in creating some more smiles with Kanivu Social Welfare and Charitable Trust in Kerala; a shelter home mostly for senior citizens.

Hamim ( ) was very active in generating funds to be able to bring happiness to these people living without or away from family. Our team member along with Hamim visited the shelter home on the day of EID, had Iftaar & Payasam and build spaces with happiness and love together! @ Calicut, Kerala

MEAL MILAAP !

The campaign has been successfully running from 5th May only because of your contribution and immense support. Here's an update since the day we initiated Meal Milaap. Until 17th May we had been able to raise around ₹4,65000 and reached 472 families. We also extended monetary support to trusts in Kashmir and Kerala.

The campaign is ongoing, and we believe your efforts are never ending. Keep providing your support to the vulnerables hit by Covid lockdown!

is a team of psychologists that has come together to address mental health concerns amidst the current COVID-19 crisis. From the past two months, they have been actively counselling many clients on issues related to anxiety, depression, and stress.

One Step Many Smiles is happy to announce that we will be collaborating with this initiative, to understand psychological intervention better. Through this association, we plan to propagate a task-shifting approach towards community mental health. They will provide supervision to our team in Psychological First Aid, which we can take forward to further assist the families that they we are reaching out to, onsite.

We distributed close to 280 kits in Loni, Ghaziabad. To assess the quality of our work, a follow up was done after a month.
Here are the results!

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought many realities to the fore, one of which is the interdependence of various sectors to build and sustain the world we live in. It is impossible to imagine, for instance, what we would do without the healthcare providers who are saving lives and working round the clock.
That said, there are still individuals whose efforts go unnoticed and taken for granted (and often exploited) - our unorganised sector workers - to thank. The realisations of our desired futures is carried forth by these individuals - the real builders of our economies, our homes, our infrastructure, our lifestyles and much of our time.

With the lockdown and the impending economic and (un)employment crises that are arising, the challenges that this sector, in particular, faces with respect to their sheer survival is immense.

This May Day, let us remember and support the very workers whom we are incredibly dependent upon. Your contribution of Rs. 1300/family to the Meal Milaap campaign will help sustain at least one such individual's family for the next 21 days.

Informal sector workers have been hit the hardest due to covid-19 lockdown and their savings in the attempt to survive has been exhausted. They are now either skipping meals or starving altogether!

We thus encourage you to support a family directly by donating INR 1300 per family (details of the relief kit in the poster).
Once we receive a contribution in your name, we will disclose essential details of the target family. This is to keep in mind a balance between your right to know and their right to privacy.
