Last week, we teamed up with our friends at Earls Court Community Hub to help our neighbours beat the heatwave while also preparing financially for the autumn energy bills.

We had a great time making origami fans, sipping chilled water and enjoying fresh watermelon slices. Our team was also at hand to offer advice on staying cool safely and budgeting early for upcoming energy costs.

If you missed the event, no sweat! Head over to https://cahf.org.uk/fuel-vouchers-energy-grants/ to see if you could save on your energy bills in the coming months.
Don't forget to follow us for more events and activities in the future.

We’re proud to share that Citizens Advice Hammersmith & Fulham is now an accredited London Living Wage Employer!

Earlier this year, we increased our lowest salaries to ensure that everyone on our team earns at least the London Living Wage. Becoming officially accredited by the Living Wage Foundation recognises that commitment to fair pay.

The London Living Wage is currently £14.80 an hour for everyone aged 18 and over and is independently calculated based on the real cost of living in the capital.

Fair pay reflects our values. We work every day to help build a fairer society, and we believe that should start with how we treat our own staff.

In July, we had the pleasure of hosting Cllr Roseanne Meacher (Sands End Ward) at our Avonmore Library and Neighbourhood Centre. Cllr Meacher got to watch our team at work, and saw our More than Advice model in action.
At CAHF, we combine triage and urgent advice for our clients with preventative, wraparound care – including digital skills, financial capability training, and ESOL classes.
We also discussed the complex challenges facing her Sands End constituents and how we support them through different channels, from face-to-face sessions to our Adviceline, WhatsApp, and webchat services.
Thank you for taking the time to visit and meet our team, Cllr Meacher! We look forward to working closely with you to build a stronger, more resilient community in Sands End and across Hammersmith & Fulham.

We are finalists for the H&F Business Awards 2026 and we couldn’t be happier!

CAHF has been shortlisted for Customer Service Business of the Year, from a pool of exceptionally high calibre applications.

We are so proud of our team, which works incredibly hard every single day through our ‘more than advice’ model, providing holistic care for members of our community facing complex challenges. Thanks also and especially to our volunteers, who are the heart of our work. We couldn’t do it without you!

Grateful to the H&F Business Awards judging panel, keep your fingers crossed for us till awards night! 🤞✨

A huge thank you to Secretary of State Miatta Fahnbulleh for visiting us today!

Energy bills and costs are a huge concern for our clients – energy debt is currently among the top issues our team deals with, and places tremendous stress on vulnerable people across our community. That’s why we were glad for the opportunity to discuss this critical area directly with Secretary of State Miatta Fahnbulleh in our office at Avonmore Library and Neighbourhood Centre.

We were also able to show her our 'More Than Advice' model at work, demonstrating how we address the root causes of vulnerability and provide truly holistic, wraparound care for our community. Last year, we supported over 14,000 local residents, and 78% of our client cases now involve complex, interconnected hardship.

Thank you Minister Fahnbulleh and her team from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero for taking the time to speak with our staff and volunteers, meet with our clients, and support the crucial role Citizens Advice plays in people’s lives every single day.
