Everyday routines are full of learning.

At Monkey Puzzle Streatham Common, we use books like 'Why Should I Brush My Teeth?' to help children understand the routines they experience every day.

We chat about brushing teeth, visiting the dentist, healthy habits and why looking after ourselves matters. The children always have lots to say, ask questions and enjoy sharing what they already know from home.

For us, this is what Early Years learning looks like - building confidence, communication and independence through experiences children can relate to.

A little celebration for two very well-deserved promotions at Monkey Puzzle Streatham Common! ✨

Congratulations to Georgia, who is stepping into her new role as Room Lead, and to Tiana, who has taken on the role of Deputy Room Lead.

Your hard work, commitment and the care you show every day have not gone unnoticed. We’re excited to see you take on these new responsibilities and continue to be such an important part of our team.

Some of the best learning starts with a book.

Inspired by The Very Hungry Caterpillar, our preschoolers spent time with their Key Person painting, chatting and bringing the story to life in their own way.
When we follow children's interests, they become more engaged, ask questions, share ideas and grow in confidence. Every child approaches learning differently, and giving them the freedom to express themselves helps build curiosity, creativity and a genuine love of learning.

It's all part of our G.R.A.I.N.S. approach, where we nurture each child's interests and encourage a Growth Mindset, helping them believe in themselves, try new things and enjoy the journey of learning.

After all, to a child it might just look like painting.

To us, it's confidence growing one brushstroke at a time. 💛

Choosing a nursery is one of the biggest decisions a family can make, so hearing reflections like this means the world to us.

Our wonderful graduate joined Monkey Puzzle Streatham Common when he was just 13 months old, and we’ve had the privilege of watching him grow into the confident, happy and school-ready little boy he is today.

Even more special, his older brother was part of the Monkey Puzzle family too, making this journey even more meaningful.

If you’ve spent any time in our Baby Room, you’ll know exactly why Janet has been recognised this month.

Janet is one of those people who is always there with a smile, ready for a cuddle, a song or a reassuring chat with a parent. She brings so much warmth to our Baby Room and has a wonderful way of helping our little ones feel safe, settled and loved.

She consistently puts the children first and is always willing to help wherever she’s needed. It’s these everyday moments, and the care she shows to every child and family, that make such a difference.

From our Baby Room to school readiness… what an incredible journey.

One of the most rewarding parts of working at Monkey Puzzle Streatham Common is watching children grow from curious toddlers into confident preschoolers, celebrating every milestone alongside their families.

Our wonderful little graduate joined us when he was just 18 months old. Over the years, he’s progressed through our nursery, building friendships, growing in confidence and developing the skills that have prepared him for his next adventure at primary school.

Hearing his dad reflect on that journey is a wonderful reminder of how important those early years really are. The relationships we build with our children and families are at the heart of everything we do, and it’s a privilege to be part of their story.

A little moment we’re still smiling about… 💛

Watching our wonderful preschoolers take their next step towards primary school was such a special milestone, and we’re so proud of every single one of them.

It’s been a privilege to watch them grow in confidence, build friendships and create so many wonderful memories during their time with us.

As one chapter ends, another begins. We’re excited to welcome a new generation of little learners to start their own Monkey Puzzle journey this September.
