Hon. Alderman Mushtaq Lasharie CBE, Chairman of TWS, BPMA and LWRA, hosted a splendid launch event for Robert Winder’s acclaimed book Three Rivers — a fascinating account of the great rivers of Europe and the pivotal role they played in shaping the continent’s civilisation, trade, culture, and historical development.
The distinguished gathering brought together members of the diplomatic, literary, business, media, and community sectors. Among the notable attendees were Barrister Farhan Farani, Founding Chairman of BritTogether; Mian Saleem, President of TWS-UK and PPP Greater London; Aina Mamaeva of Znaniye Foundation Charity; Rita Payne, former President of the Commonwealth Journalists Association; Barrister Riaz Gull, Chairman of Sharifa Ibrahim Foundation Charity; Tariq Mustafa Khan, Chairman of FBR; Radiana Vlahova, Executive Director of London Southside Chamber of Commerce; Chaudhry Ansar Mahmood, Director of Kenton Solicitors; singer Irina Pskovitina; William Horsley; Geoffrey Payne; Dr Shahzad Qureshi; Sheraza Khan; Mona Baig; Singer Sima Syed; Amer Shehzad; Sajjad Butt; Sajeel Ahmed; Mian Shahjahan Ahmed; Raja Qamar Javed, Sherzada khan alongside many respected members of the intellectual and cultural community.
The memorable evening, held at West London’s prestigious Royal Nawaab Perivale Restaurant, was marked by thoughtful discussion, cultural appreciation, and celebration of literature, history, and community engagement.
