Following a direct referral from one of the private clinics in the Balearics, Aerotandt were able to quickly arrange a bed to bed air ambulance transfer back to the UK following an insurance declined admission overseas.
Uninsured and insurance declined patients are the mainstay of what we do and the patient is now safely in a medical sideroom at his local hospital with a very relieved wife and family nearby.

2 commercial repatriations in 4 days back to the UK from Italy and Spain for Aerotandt.
Angela assisted a very elderly ex-pat lady to a care home in Bristol.
Vix and Gavin moved a complex needs patient from the Canaries to Manchester for ongoing specialist assessment and treatment. The second lady has active travel insurance but the family approached us frustrated with delays by the insurer. There was a window of opportunity to safely transfer in a timely manner and we were happy to assist in conjunction with the treating facility and family.

Until very recently a commercial stretcher repatriation from the Canary Islands was impossible. Aerotandt have completed the first one for a young British man who sustained polytrauma causing significant injuries below the waist. It took 4 days jumping through multiple hoops but thanks to the assistance of high quality stakeholders we did it!! Patient and family delighted to be back in hospital in UK following bed to bed transfer. Further significant orthopaedic and vascular surgery needed but he will fully recover! Good luck Harvey!!

Having worked in the industry 32 years and visited most civilised ( and some uncivilised) places, there is still the odd trip where you end up somewhere totally new and interesting.
Gavin has just repatriated a patient from Costa Rica to the Orkney Islands. Ended up on lovely Kirkwall in the Orkney sunshine - beautiful!

We specialise in assisting these patients rather than doing so as an add on to other activities. Aerotandt have just completed our first air ambulance transfer of 2023. Specialising in helping uninsured/insurance declined patients abroad, we were able to plan and execute a bed to bed transfer from ICU in the Canary Islands back to the UK. Patient now comfortably in a sideroom on a medical ward at his local hospital with family nearby.
