The children had lots of fun getting messy, creative and enjoying the beautiful colours of autumn! 🍁🎨🧡

The children enjoyed getting creative with a range of fun activities, including:

🦊 Making adorable autumn foxes using paper plates.coloured tissue paper and googly eyes
🎨 Finger painting different animals
🍂 Cutting out and decorating autumn leaves

🕯️ Sybourn Primary School is joining the Global Wave of Light🕯️

At 7pm this evening, we are lighting a candle in memory of all the babies who have died too soon, and in honour of the families who carry them in their hearts.

As candles are lit around the world, we stand together in remembrance, love and support for every family affected by baby loss.

💗 You are not alone. Always remembered.

💗💙 Baby Loss Awareness Week | 9–15 October🤍🪽

This week is Baby Loss Awareness Week, a time to raise awareness of pregnancy and baby loss and remember the babies who are no longer with us.

Baby loss affects many families, often in ways that are not visible. As a school community, we want to recognise this and let our families know that support is available.

On Friday 9 October, our staff wore pink or blue to show their support and help raise awareness 💗💙🪽

The week ends with the Wave of Light on Thursday 15 October at 7pm, when people around the world light a candle in memory of babies who have died. 🕯

We have shared a support poster with information about organisations and resources available to families affected by baby loss.

💗 If your family has been affected by baby loss and you would like support, please contact the school office or speak to a member of our pastoral team. We will listen with care and compassion.💙

Thinking of all the families remembering a baby this week. Your babies matter, and they are not forgotten. 💗🤍💙

Our EYFS children had a fantastic time welcoming the police officers to our setting! They learnt all about how the police help our community, keep us safe and protect others. The children were excited to ask questions, share their ideas and learn more about the important role of our community helpers. A wonderful, hands on learning experience! ✨
