📚 From the Southbank centre to Upper Norwood…

We’re delighted that Upper Norwood Library Trust is part of the ’s Book Swap, taking place during this year’s London Literature Festival, curated by Dua Lipa.

From 21 October to 1 November, visitors to the Royal Festival Hall can bring along a book they’ve enjoyed, leave a recommendation and choose another book to take home.

and other writers, artists and cultural figures involved in the festival are also donating books and recommendations to the Book Swap.

And there’s a local connection too…

Remaining books from the Book Swap will be donated to Upper Norwood Library Trust, helping extend the initiative from the Southbank Centre into our local area.

We’re pleased to be part of the scheme and look forward to sharing the books with our community.

Celebrating 10 years of partnership! 🎉

Last week, we came together to celebrate an important milestone for the Upper Norwood Library Trust – 10 years of working in partnership to support and strengthen our local community.

It was wonderful to welcome Mayor of Lambeth, Councillor Paul Valentine; Helen Hayes MP for Dulwich and West Norwood; and Councillor Robert Ward, Croydon Cabinet Member for Parks and Culture, alongside our volunteers, funders, local organisations, community members and partners.

The evening was a chance to reflect on what has been achieved over the past decade – and, most importantly, to celebrate the people and partnerships that have made it possible.

Together, UNLT has welcomed 1.35 million visits over 10 years and independently raised £2.3 million to support local services and community programmes.

But the impact isn’t just measured in numbers. It’s in the people who have learned something new, found support, met others, discovered a new interest or simply found a place where they feel welcome and connected.

A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed to UNLT’s journey – our volunteers, funders, partners, local organisations, community members and everyone who uses and supports UNLT.

Here’s to the next 10 years of partnership and community impact! ❤️
