We were delighted to welcome students and colleagues from FH Technikum Wien in Austria as part of a new Erasmus collaboration focused on academic learning, practical experience and international engagement. 🤝🌍

From exploring Industry 4.0 and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) to hands-on learning and industry visits across London, the programme brought together innovation, knowledge sharing and global perspectives. 👩‍💻

We look forward to building on this partnership and creating more opportunities for international collaboration, student exchange and joint research. 💙

📸 From UWL graduate to exhibiting artist! 🖼️

Photography graduate Antoinette Castro has showcased her work at the prestigious Real Casino de Tenerife in Spain, exhibiting two projects, “Beneath the Fragile” and “Unfolding the View”, alongside established painter Ivan Surikov. 🎨

Since graduating from UWL’s London School of Film, Media and Design in 2025, Antoinette has continued to gain recognition for her thought-provoking work and is now pursuing a Master’s in Fine Art. 👩‍🎨

We’re proud to see our graduates making their mark in the creative world! 👏

The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) Research Group at the University of West London recently welcomed Professor Matteo Bruno Lodi, a member of the Applied Electromagnetics Group at the University of Cagliari, Italy, for a research seminar.

The seminar provided an opportunity for researchers from the two institutions to exchange knowledge, discuss current research challenges and explore areas of shared interest.

The Geller Institute of Ageing and Memory (GIAM) at the University of West London is taking a leading role in shaping research delivery as part of the newly established NIHR (National Institute for Health and Care Research) Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) London.

The London ARC, backed by £22 million of government funding, brings together NHS trusts, universities, and other expertise from across the capital to tackle some of the UK’s most pressing health and social care research priorities.

Dyspraxia Awareness Week ✨💙🌈

Dyspraxia, also known as Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), is a lifelong neurodevelopmental condition that affects fine and gross motor skills, coordination, and motor planning in both children and adults, impacting activities such as writing, dressing, balance, and learning new motor tasks.

🌱 Final-year project ➡️ Real-world impact! ✨

Graduates from our BA (Hons) Advertising & PR programme have brought their project WE Grow to life for Ealing Climate Week. 🌸

Supported by a UWL Knowledge Exchange Seed Fund grant and partnering with local social enterprise Mahaba Café, the team distributed hundreds of plants to local residents, businesses, and public spaces across West Ealing to seed positivity from the ground up. 🪴
