Louise recommends Fourth Wing, written by Rebecca Yarros and narrated by Rebecca Soler and Teddy Hamilton✨

💬 I wanted to read this book due to all the hype around the series of what will be 5 books (3 are currently available), and it hasn't disappointed from what I expected. It is such an easy read. Your typical fantasy book, with all the tropes that make you want to go back for more. There is deception, death, lust, and dragons, all set in the training college for new recruits (dragon riders). However, I feel it is also building towards a story of plotting and political intrigue, and I'm looking forward to seeing where Yarros takes the story.

Louise recommends There Are Rivers in the Sky, written by Elif Shafak and narrated by Olivia Vinall✨

💬 The prose in this book is beautiful, and although I didn't find it a page turner, due to three interconnected storylines. I did find it a relaxing and an enjoyable listen, that is very well written. The stories are woven together, through the theme of water, building towards a deeply moving ending.
