Change is a normal part of growing up, but that doesn't mean it's always easy.

Starting secondary school, beginning GCSEs or A-levels, moving to college or university, or starting work can bring excitement, but also anxiety and uncertainty.

This we're encouraging families, carers and teachers to check in, listen and support young people through life's transitions.

On Monday 21 September for World Alzheimer’s Day, our Barking & Dagenham Memory Service will be hosting an information stand at Dagenham Library, Dagenham Learning Centre Community and Family Hub, 1 Church Elm Lane, Dagenham RM10 9QS, from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Team members will be available to answer questions, provide advice, and share information about dementia, memory concerns, and local support services.

Residents, carers, family members, and members of the public are warmly invited to visit the stand, learn more about dementia, and find out what support is available within the local community.

Together, we can help reduce stigma, promote early diagnosis, and ensure that people living with dementia and their loved ones receive the understanding and support they deserve.
