🛂🇹🇹 Reminder: Drop-In Passport Screening Sessions

Our Drop-In Passport Screening Sessions take place 8–10 September 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the High Commission.

Before you attend:

• One person per family is encouraged to attend with all relevant family documents.

• Bring all original documents together with a clear coloured photocopy of each.

• If you're renewing your Machine Readable Passport (MRP), please bring your completed MRP application form, two passport photographs (white background), and a prepaid, self-addressed Royal Mail Special Delivery return envelope so your new passport(s) can be returned to you securely.

• Foreign-issued documents submitted in support of your passport application must be translated into English and include an apostille seal before submission.

• The Passport Division will not be available for telephone or video call consultations during these dates.

📄 Whether you're applying for your first Machine Readable Passport (MRP), renewing your passport, or were born outside Trinidad and Tobago, please ensure you bring all required supporting documents to help us process your application as efficiently as possible.

A special Evensong at Westminster Abbey in celebration of Trinidad and Tobago's 64th Independence Anniversary took place on Friday 28th August 2026.

The service was attended by Acting High Commissioner Ms Carina Latoo, members of staff of the High Commission, members of the Diplomatic Corps, including H.E. J. M. Brereton Horne, High Commissioner for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines; H.E. Anthony Bryan Severin, High Commissioner of Saint Lucia to the United Kingdom; Ms Deniece A. Sandiford, First Secretary, High Commission of Barbados to the United Kingdom; Mr Brent Scotland, Second Secretary and Mr Caleb Gardiner, Third Secretary, High Commission for Antigua and Barbuda; Baroness Benjamin OM DBE DL and other specially invited guests.

Hosted annually by the Dean of Westminster, the service included prayers for Trinidad and Tobago, its leaders, and its people, in recognition of the nation's 64th Anniversary of Independence. The national flag of Trinidad and Tobago was flown above Westminster Abbey to mark the occasion.

High Commission London Celebrates Trinidad and Tobago’s 64th Anniversary of Independence with an Interfaith Service

The High Commission for the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in London hosted a vibrant interfaith service at St Peter’s Church, Eaton Square, on August 23rd to mark the nation's 64th anniversary of independence.

The service began with a procession led by Security Attaché Mitchell Chandrika carrying the national red, white, and black flag down the aisle.

Acting High Commissioner Carina Latoo shared official remarks from Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs Sean Sobers.

The theme for the Interfaith Service was "Achieving Prosperity with Unity", with leaders from diverse spiritual traditions united in prayer and scripture readings.

Contributions included the Muslim Reading delivered by Asela Ball, Archdeacon Daniel Foster and Reverend Stephanie Matthias shared the Spiritual Baptist reading, supported by the Echoes of Mercy Choir and drummer Orlando Virgo, Pundit Rajneesh Tulsi-Ramprasad presented the Hindu reading and Beverley Reviero-Awonaya presented the Christian reading, followed by a guiding homily from Father Henderson George.

Ms Natasha Awuku-Williams sang soulful vocal arrangements of Amazing Grace and Jesus Loves Me. She also led the congregation in singing The National Anthem, God Bless Our Nation and the Battle Hymn of the Republic. Ms Nile Mansingh, Harpist performed Little Fountain and Take Me Home. Ms Debra Pan Diva Romain filled the historic church with resonant steelpan melodies.

Attendees then enjoyed authentic Trinbagonian refreshments provided by Anne Husbands of Zenith Cuisine.
