Young people - and their schools or youth centres - are invited to take part in Camden’s annual Youth Safety Multi-Media Competition - with the winner and runners-up to be unveiled during Youth Celebration Week 2026.

To support your participation, up to £500 is available to help you develop your project. The competition is open to 10 to 18 year-olds in Camden and entries must be by children and young people in partnership with their youth organisation, play centre or school.

This year’s theme is 'A Safer Camden: On and Offline'. We're inviting young people to share what safety means to them right now, and what would make Camden a safer, more supportive place to grow up, both in our communities and online.

It’s Carers Week! To celebrate, this Thursday at Swiss Cottage Library storyteller Richard Neville is leading a poem and story session inspired by the community quilt Portrait(s) of Camden.

The quilt was created by more than 500 Camden residents, telling personal stories through fabric portraits. You can view it at the library until Monday 29 June.

Come along to our free event for residents who want to learn more about solar energy. At the Camden Solar Showcase, there will be practical advice from trusted experts and you will be able to:

• Learn more about solar funding support from the Camden Climate Fund
• Ask questions about installing solar panels
• Learn about planning and conservation considerations
• Meet local organisations and installers
• Hear how solar projects are already working in Camden

Do you know a young person aged 16 to 19 who is looking to develop a career in sports education and training? They can join a taster day at Talacre Community Sports Centre, Kentish Town, on 2 July to find out more.

They would need to be in full-time education from September 2026 and interested in working with children and young people.

Football Festival and Young Traders Day is heading to two of Camden's markets this summer, bringing together football, family fun, local traders, music and more.
