I would like to invite you to the London Bridge and West Bermondsey Ward Forum on 12th November, 6pm – 8pm at to discuss, wards priorities in the investment in Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL). Let’s discuss how funding generated from local developments in this ward should be spent. Please find out more information on CIL here Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) | Southwark Council.

The Mayor of London has launched the world’s first Dementia Friendly Venues Charter for cultural public spaces in a drive to ensure that every Londoner with dementia and their carers has a dementia-friendly cultural venue on their doorstep. Join an informal and friendly online meeting to find out more about the charter and how you can be supported on your accreditation journey.

1. Proposed closure of M&S Walworth Road store. M&S is proposing to close its Walworth Road store which has served the local community for 111 years. This is bad news for local residents, including older people, that use the store; for those that work there, and for the Walworth Road neighbourhood generally. Neil Coyle MP and The Walworth Society are doing what they can to require that M&S keep the store open.
