As well as his custodian duties as owner of the barony, the Baron has a keen interest in history, especially in British history. The Lord and Lady of North Cadbury are passionate about British traditions, heritage, culture, art and craftsmanship. They are also loyal supporters of His Majesty King Charles III and the British Monarchy.

A brief insight into the history of the Barony of North Cadbury
The Barony of North Cadbury is one of the oldest feudal baronies of England, whose rich history goes back to William the Conqueror.
Baron of North Cadbury is a feudal title in the Baronage of England. The current holder of the title and current Baron, Jörg Hubert Dumke de Newmarch succeeded to the hereditary Barony title as 6th Baron of North Cadbury in 2011, granted by legal authorities and Deed of Conveyance. Lord de Newmarch holds the legal rights to the hereditary Barony of North Cadbury. The name of the barony refers to Cadbury (Cadeberie) in the county of Somerset and was the caput, means the seat, of the extensive fiefdom or barony.
The Barony of North Cadbury, together with the Manor of [North] Cadbury, which was attached to the Barony was recorded in Domesday Book of 1086 as 'Cadeberie' and held as part of the considerable Barony of Turstin FitzRolf, the first Baron. The Barony is also listed in the Cartae Baronum, the 'Charters of the Barons'. This was a survey commissioned by the treasury in 1166.
The Barony has an interesting and fascinating history and is kept alive by the current custodians, Jörg Hubert and Regina Dumke de Newmarch, 6th Baron and Baroness of North Cadbury.

My Coat of Arms, carved many years ago by German heraldic master sculptor Manfred Gerlach.
The coat of arms carving was a commissioned work and was hand-carved and coloured by the renowned master sculptor. It has been placed in a prominent position above the mantelpiece in our drawing room.
"Nil Desperandum" is the motto of me, current and 6th Baron of North Cadbury. The language is Latin and it means “Never despair“.

The current Baron and Baroness are staunch monarchists and members of The Crown Society.

Legal Public Notices in 'The Gazette' (formally 'The London Gazette') - Official Public Record since1665
In The Gazette was officially announced and recorded that:
Jörg Hubert and Regina Dumke de Newmarch became the rightful successors and owners of the hereditary Barony and Lordship of North Cadbury and the 6th Baron and Baroness of North Cadbury in 2011, also 11th Lord and Lady of the Manor of Blakewell (Devon) in 2010 and 18th Lord and Lady of the Manor of Codiford Farleigh (Cornwall) in 2020.
The legal rights to the titles have been transferred by legally authenticated Deeds of Conveyance in compliance with the Honours (Prevention of Abuses) Act 1925.
The Baron and Baroness's hereditary titles of the barony and lordships are not titles of the peerage (parliamentary titles). These originated under feudalism and enshrined in English law as 'incorporeal hereditaments'.
The legal conveyance and ownership of the feudal titles have been officially announced and recorded in The Gazette, the official public record of His Majesty's Government, which operates under strict Government and Crown approval.
It consists largely of statutory notices and also where the Crown Office publishes the King’s Honours List. The Gazette is published by TSO (The Stationery Office) on behalf of His Majesty's Stationery Office. They are subject to Crown copyright.
Notices can only be placed in The Gazette by verified persons acting in an official capacity, who have the authority to create an official record of fact e.g. UK registered Solicitors/Lawyers (SRA).
