Many of the heritage and period homes we work on require a careful approach and plenty of experience working with older buildings. 🏡

For this current project, a great deal of time and care has gone into restoring the original roof and, where features had fallen into disrepair, replacing them with new details that sit seamlessly alongside the original building.

This brick chimney feature is a great example, with traditional brick detailing carefully restored and a tall window incorporated beautifully into the brickwork below. The new decorative chimney stack above adds even more character to the exterior.

It’s wonderful to see details like this restored and given the attention they deserve. ✨

More from our Surrey project, where we captured some of the beautiful views from the main farmhouse across the surrounding countryside. 🌿☀️

A big part of the design has been about connecting the home with its setting, while retaining the traditional character of the farmhouse.

Large windows and doors frame the countryside from the living spaces, drawing the views into the home and creating a wonderful connection with the outdoors — looking especially idyllic in the sunshine! 🏡✨

Another exciting project where work commenced this Summer, involving an extensive refurbishment, rear and side extensions, and a loft conversion to transform the property into a spacious family home.⁠

The front has been designed with a timeless character, combining red brick, warm render, clay roof tiles and taupe windows. Set behind a gated entrance and generous driveway, the home has a strong presence while remaining in keeping with its surroundings.⁠
⁠
To the rear, the design takes on a more contemporary feel. Steel-inspired French doors add character while bringing additional light into the home and creating a stronger connection with the garden.⁠

A wonderful blend of traditional and contemporary design, which we look forward to sharing more of!

Inside the main house at our High Barn Farm project in Surrey today, where there has been plenty of progress in the hallway. 🏡✨

The staircase is looking beautiful, with the oak detailing working perfectly within the refurbished farmhouse. Panelling adds further character, while above, we’re especially pleased with the original laylight which has been carefully restored and brings so much natural light into the space.

The arched details leading through to the bedrooms are another lovely feature, adding to the traditional character of the hallway.

Filled with light and original details, this part of the home is looking wonderful. 👏

Some recent snaps from our High Barn Farm project, showing the fabulous new pool house and swimming pool area. We’re so pleased with how this is looking! 🏡✨

Designed to sit perfectly alongside the original farmhouse, the pool house echoes many of the details seen on the main home. The warm taupe glazing looks beautiful against the red brick and clay roof tiles, while the circular window is another lovely detail carried through the design.

Landscaping around the pool is now underway too, with limestone paving creating an understated finish that works beautifully with the rest of the project. 🌿

We can’t wait to see this area completely finished! ☀️

The 3D designs show a timeless architectural style, with warm red brick, crisp white render and traditional Georgian-style windows, in-keeping with the original period home.⁠

A contemporary two-storey extension provides a striking contrast. Finished with elegant steel detailing, tall sliding doors and expansive glazing, it has been designed to strengthen the connection with the garden and flood the interior with natural light.⁠

A mix of traditional and contemporary designs, creating a home that feels both timeless and perfectly suited to modern family living.

More snaps from another of our current Wimbledon projects, where we shared progress on the new roof last week! 🏡🔨

Elsewhere on site, the slabs for the new side extension are now in place, with the garage prepared and ready for the concrete pour.

Fantastic work by the construction team, with huge progress being made across this period home as it undergoes a substantial refurbishment and extension. 👏✨

Back on site at this contemporary new build in Wimbledon, designed by the Harper Latter team! 🏡✨

We’re so pleased with how the exterior is looking. The combination of light brickwork, Corten-effect porcelain cladding and black aluminium glazing creates a striking contemporary finish.

To the rear, large areas of glazing and contemporary doors across the ground and first floors open the home towards the garden, bringing in plenty of natural light and making the most of this substantial plot. 🌿

A bold new build that is really starting to show the full impact of the original design. Now it’s onto the finishing touches inside and landscaping the garden to complete the transformation! 👏✨

We are thrilled to share these snaps from another of our Wimbledon projects, which is now ready for snagging! 🏡✨

This has been a substantial transformation, including a remodel, extension and loft conversion, and we're so pleased to see the vision brought to life.

Some of our favourite features can be seen here, including the elegant curved staircase and the way the soft curves are echoed throughout the home. Combined with the dark timber flooring and abundance of natural light, they help create a sophisticated yet welcoming interior.

A huge well done to everyone involved. We can't wait to share the finished professional photographs soon! 👏

🏡 Back on site at one of our current Wimbledon projects, where the team have made huge progress!

These images show the upper floors of the home, with the installation of the new clay roof tiles is nearly finished. Their warm tones complement the traditional character of the property and will work beautifully with the overall design.

A major milestone has also been reached in the first and second floor bedrooms, where the new windows have been installed too. Designed in a traditional sash style, they will add to the timeless feel of the home and are already making a real difference to the spaces inside ✨

Wonderful progress by the construction team, especially given the recent hot weather ☀️👏
